Godwin Green Roofing offers financing on roofing projects from $3,000 to $75,000. Right now that includes a limited-time 12 months same as cash promotion: no payments and no interest for a year. Fixed-rate financing is also available with APR as low as 9.99%. Neither option requires a deposit.
How much does a new roof cost in Gainesville?
It depends on size, material and the condition of the decking underneath. We break down real numbers in our Gainesville roof replacement cost guide. This post covers how to pay for it.
What financing options does Godwin offer?
| 12 months same as cash | Fixed-rate financing | |
|---|---|---|
| Project size | Up to $75,000 | $3,000 to $75,000 |
| Payments in year one | None | Monthly, from the start |
| Interest | None if paid in full within 12 months | Fixed APR as low as 9.99% |
| Best fit | You can pay the full balance within a year | You want a predictable payment over several years |
| Availability | Limited time | Ongoing |
The same-as-cash option suits homeowners with money on the way, like an insurance settlement, a bonus, or savings they would rather not drain at once. Fixed-rate financing suits anyone who wants to spread the cost out.
What does "12 months same as cash" actually mean?
You get your new roof now and pay nothing for 12 months. If you pay off the full balance within that year, you pay exactly the price of the roof, with no interest added.
The part worth understanding is what happens if a balance remains after 12 months. With many same-as-cash programs, interest that was set aside during the promotion can be charged back to the original date. Read your agreement for exactly how this one handles a remaining balance, and ask us if anything is unclear.
The simplest way to stay safe is to divide the total by 12 and pay that much every month. On a $15,000 balance, that is $1,250 a month, and the roof is paid off on time.
Should I finance a roof or wait?
Wait if your roof has years of life left. When Chris inspects a roof, he will tell you if it can go another few years, and that answer costs you nothing.
Finance if the roof is failing, because a failing roof gets more expensive the longer it sits:
- Rotted decking spreads. Every Godwin job includes 5 free sheets of plywood for decking repair. Beyond that, replacement runs $85 per board, and water damage adds boards quickly.
- Insurance gets harder. Florida insurers look closely at roof age, and an aging roof can affect renewal. Our guide to Florida's roof age insurance rules explains how.
- Energy costs keep running. A complete green roofing system cuts cooling costs by up to 20% a year, which offsets part of the cost over time.
If you can comfortably pay cash, you do not need to finance at all. Financing exists so a roof that needs replacing does not have to wait.
How does paying for a Godwin roof work?
- Free quote. Chris inspects the roof and gives you a written estimate.
- Financing, if you want it. We walk you through both options before you commit.
- No deposit. You pay nothing upfront to get on the schedule. We are typically booked 1 to 2 weeks out.
- Installation. Most shingle roofs take 1 to 2 days. Most metal roofs take 3 to 6 days. Our in-house crew does the work, never subcontractors.
- Inspections. We pull a permit for every job, and it requires two inspections: one during the work and one at the end.
- Payment. Payment is due 10 days after the job is complete.
